Clearing & Settlement
NASDAQ OMX Europe uses EMCF as the central counterparty clearing house for all European securities traded on its market and routed away to external markets. As part of the sign up process, participants will be required to sign a Clearing Participant Agreement with EMCF. Prospective participants of NASDAQ OMX Europe are encouraged to contact EMCF directly, or speak with their NASDAQ OMX sales representative to facilitate this process EMCF (European Multi-Lateral Clearing Facility), is an independent central counterparty clearing house and offers central counterparty services for equity trading on exchanges and multilateral trading facilities. EMCF is regulated by the AFM and the Dutch Central Bank.

Trade Reconciliation Instructions
Upon completion of a trade, NASDAQ OMX Europe will submit in real-time the Execution Identifier number (ExecID: FIX tag 17) to both the participant and EMCF.
EMCF will receive this Execution Identifier, pre-pended with a "B" for a buy, or "S" for a sell. For example: Execution Identifier: 9999 Side: Buy EMCF Reference #: B9999
Participants can reconcile their trades with EMCF by pre-pending a "B" for a buy, or "S" for a sell on the Execution Identifier they receive. Should trading participants need assistance reconciling their trades with EMCF, please contact Trade Support at +44 20 7065 8170. EMCF Contacts
